Just When You Thought It Was Safe To Go Back In The Water

Now, I know I’ve been gone for some time, but what’s up with there being no BioShock 2 article on the site? It’s not just on this site either. There is a lack of official information about BioShock 2 on all sites that I visit. So I figured I would piece together this preview with all the info I have collected thus far. The most important bit of info is the official release date. It is due for release on November 3, 2009 in North America.
This will be a complete different story from the first one, as the player will take the role of the first Big Daddy ever created in Rapture. This Big Daddy has superior speed and intelligence in comparison to the other Big Daddies. Because of this the player will be able to use the Big Daddy’s drill and rivet gun as weapons. However, as in all games, even the drill has its limits. It will overheat if used continuously. The rivet gun will have several types of ammo, just as in the first game.
It’s Good To Be The King

Summer is usually known as a slow time in regards to new video game releases. I recently found out about an upcoming release that has me looking forward to July. King of Fighters XII debuts on the Xbox 360 and Sony Playstation 3 on July 16, 2009. This new installment of the franchise boasts some beautifully hand drawn 2d sprites. However due to the time it took developers to make the sprites, there are only 20 playable characters, the lowest number ever in any game of the series. It’s a trade off, but in a trade of quality versus quanity, I’ll take quality everytime.
Episode Two: Peanut Butter and Jelly
We discuss the games we played this week and make an attempt at our first mature discussion of gaming culture. We ask the question: Are gamers spoiled? This weeks episode earns its explicit tag when SkricLee goes on his rant blasting Gamestop. Mortal debuts two new segments. “Slept on Games” and “Cop of Not”. This week’s slept on game is Alpha Protocol. Other topics include: Magic Candy, Breaking the seal, and we touch lightly on console exclusives. Don’t forget to pre-ordered next week’s podcast to get exclusive bonus content. You can pre-order using RSS or by using iTunes!
The Scout is “Major League”
Episode One: It Should Come With A Soundtrack.
The First Official episode of the Host Advantage podcast. Mr. Mortal, SkricLee Biz, and Rock Solid discuss (at length) current video game releases, E3 predictions, the game breaking bug in Call Of Duty World at War and more. SkricLee admits he is the Pigeon Cat and shows his true colors in regards to certain brand names! Mortal tries to freestyle and panders to potential listeners for comments. Rock Solid challenges his father to a cook off and admits to misleading his better half! The Memorial Day festivities definitely had an impact on our premiere podcast. Also we actually introduce ourselves this time.
Episode Zero: The Origin Issue
This is not the first episode of our podcast. It’s the non cannon prequel before the first episode. No layout. No Format. No introductions. Just skricLee Biz, Rock Solid and myself (Mortal) conversating about video games and other geek culture. We discuss comics that become movies, and movies that become video games. We probably over use the word reboot. To say its random would be an understatement. But it’s a glimpse into our personalities. Plus skricLee laced the whole show with banana dope instrumentals. Even if you find my voice annoying, you will love the kicks and the snares. So listen and enjoy.
Instrumental playlist:
Large Professor: The Beginning
Company Flow: Bee Aware
Lootpack: New Years Resolution
Frank-n-Dank: What Up

Lost Planet 2 Announced

Big announcement from Capcom today concerning Lost Planet 2. Mr. Mortal couldn’t be happier.. not sure why since the Japanese lag can get pretty “NO FUCKIN WAY yo” !! lolz .. nah, Lost Planet was one of my first games for the Xbox360 and one of the most unique titles skrIc shit on. I remember thinking how ill it looked… the explosion animations were simply retarded and are still unrivaled in my opinion. No date was announced but this is definately on my “cop” list for sure. werdup … check it out
